Construction of a library at Maiwe Primary School

The Zingani Village Development Committee plans to use a co-investment of $6,557.40 from Mudzi Connect to construct a 20m by 8m school library at Maiwe Primary School in Zingani, Traditional Authority Msakambewa in Dowa. The library will be equipped with shelves, chairs, tables, and books to foster a conducive learning environment. This project will benefit 541 students from 26 surrounding villages by providing access to additional literature and resources, which is anticipated to enhance academic performance at the school.

The construction of the Maiwe School Library in the Zingani Community, under Traditional Authority Msakambewa, has made remarkable progress through a collaborative effort between the community and Mudzi Connect. The structure's walls are now complete, with remaining tasks including plastering, painting, skirting, flooring, and roofing. This significant milestone has been achieved within two months of receiving 60% of the project funding. Once completed, the library is expected to serve as a vital resource, providing access to additional reading materials for 541 students. This development is anticipated to substantially improve the student’s academic performance and overall learning experience.
