Empowering three women & girls' groups through Rabbit farming
Project Launch: 3-28-24
This project will support 3 groups of historically marginalised people commonly known as Abatwa to start rabbit farming aimed at improving their nutrition by supplementing rabbit meat to their diets and also to earn income through sale of rabbit offsprings. The three groups, ITUZE, TWITEZIMBERE, and DUSHYIGIKIRANE have an average of 30 members each. Members will construct collective rabbit hutches and will raise rabbits at group level in one place which will make management, supervision and accountability easy.
