Mainstreaming Gender Equity in Conservation
Project Launch: 12-30-19
This one-year project aims to empower women with the knowledge, skills, and ability to contribute to decision making processes regarding biodiversity conservation. 100 indigenous rural women will be trained on climate change adaptation measures, alternatives for firewood, and how to take action and influence policies for sustainable development. The training will include a nature walk to increase women's knowledge on the environment. They will plant 400 agroforestry trees to prevent landslides and improve nutrition.
