Proyecto Cenit (Project Zenith)
Project Launch:
The Deaf Institute of Chimborazo (ISCH) will produce a technology-based literacy curriculum to improve reading comprehension, writing and vocabulary development of deaf and hard-of-hearing students throughout Ecuador. The video-based curriculum will simultaneously present the text of children's stories, illustrations and sign language narrations so that students can build stronger visual foundations for reading, writing and vocabulary knowledge. Students at the ISCH will perform the sign language narration and the completed curriculum will be distributed to institutes across Ecuador.
