Rehabilitation of Rugeshi source of water
Project Launch: 5-8-19
The Rugeshi community in Rwanda aims to establish clean water for their village of 216 households. They have been meeting twice weekly to plan and save money for their co-investment to the project. The community has also partnered with the local government to have trainings on sanitation and hygiene, and how families can better implement healthy practices into their daily routines. This project has the potential to reduce waterborne diseases, school dropout rates, and the incidence of sexual assault, as many girls are vulnerable during long walks to acquire clean water.
